What is the Difference between Urgent Care vs. Non Emergent Care?
Urgent Care
For mental health services, this is defined as access to care within 48 hours (about 2 days). At Oliver Winston, we
strive to get you scheduled for an intake evaluation within this period. Sometimes, this can be done on the day you
call us.
Non-Emergent Care
At Oliver Winston, we provide mental health treatment for individuals who need help now but are not experiencing
symptoms that require emergency intervention.
If you have symptoms that require immediate attention, including, but not limited to, suicidal thinking or other behaviors that can cause you or others harm, you should go to your nearest emergency department and/ or call 911.
You can also call 988 for immediate mental health needs.
